civontology was created to be a protective measure for the fourth estate (the press). OSINT has become monetized by larger corporations (P….tir). We as the working class must be able to protect our communities and hold our leaders accountable. This platform offers a way to search laws, news, social media, historical government actions, arrests, local leaders, campaign finance and much more. civontology is in beta and features may change along with how the app looks and functions.

Currently there are 10 spots for testers. Testers will use this very notebook to organize the platform and learn about it. You can submit feature request, submit bugs, view roadmaps and also learn ways to use the platform.

Hi, I’m Penelope. I started my journey into citizen journalism during 2025. I have been a organizer for nearly 12 years. (Time Flies!!!).

I am a trans woman from New Jersey. I have two cats, i call them my dumpster cats. I rescued them from under a dumpster in 2024. I have always lived in Jersey and come from a poor working class family. I am a survivor of assault and intimate partner violence. You might catch me overstimulated at times on account of the tism. I love to game and play DbD, Resident Evil, Phasmophobia, Diablo, Cyberpunk, Stardew Valley and Fortnite.

I am usually escaping when I am not doing the news or working on labs by tir, the whole reason opentir, Postdated and civontology are possible. I look at everything as an experiment and this being a journalism lab. Innovation and access have been my goal. When I started I realized huge corporations have near unlimited resources to push thousands of news updates a day and a workforce that can be everywhere.

I am just one person and could not afford tools upwards in the thousands every month to do this. I wanted to help my community and be a change. Since beginning this journey information and access is what made it possible. Not many independents have the resources to automate their collection nor the infrastructure to do so.

labs by tir, hopes to bridge that gap. civontology is the first public facing experiment others can take advantage of, to be journalists, activists, archivist, learners and concerned members of their communities. I believe that if more people had access to information so many of the inequalities we face as a society could be eradicated.

Together we can give a world to the future that promises to thrive.
